While Bravely Second’s title has more than one meaning, one of those meanings is a move that you can pull off in battle. During any battle in the game you can actually freeze time to execute a move regardless of whether or not you just went or if the enemy was about to. However, you can’t use this move whenever you want, as it requires SP.
SP stands for Sleep Points, which allows one Bravely Second move per point. While you can slowly build up these points by keeping your 3DS in sleep mode and getting one SP every 8 hours, the game also allows you to purchase these items with real money ($1.50). This has been a very controversial subject when discussing the game, but luckily purchasing is completely unnecessary and SP can be acquired easily enough and isn’t needed unless you’re really struggling.
Even though the Bravely Second move isn’t something that you will use all that often, if there is a certain part of the game that is giving you trouble (like a boss fight) then it is a great way to put the cards in your favor. All you have to do is press the start button any time during battle and you will be able to get a free move in.
There are other benefits to using Bravely Second, as not only can you get in more attacks, but you are also raising the standard damage limit from 9,999 to 999,999. This means you have the chance to lay down some truly lethal damage if you’ve got really strong characters, ending even the game’s toughest battles very quickly.
At the end of the day, using Bravely Second definitely isn’t required to get through any part of the game, but for those who are struggling it is there to help you out. You never have to worry about spending real money, as even though it takes a while to build up points you’ll be keeping the game in sleep mode a lot anyway for the Fort-Lune mini game (you can see our guide on that by clicking right here).
That’s all there is to it for the Bravely Second move guide, but be sure to check out our other Bravely Second guides for even more help with the game.
