Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles offers players the opportunity to take their favorite characters to the field as they take part in many of the series most epic battles and recreate some of its most jaw-dropping moments in a way only CyberConnect2 is able to do. With that said, we will now give you a few tips sure to help you slay all of your foes and emerge victorious from any battle.

Find the Balance Between Offense and Defense

Even if the battles on Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles are made to be fast-paced, it doesn’t mean that you should just throw yourself at your enemy from the get-go, which can, in turn, make you open for a counterattack. On that note, we advise you to stay on the defensive at first, focusing on analyzing your opponent and searching for opportunities to attack. We also advise you to use your support gauge carefully, since, even if switching characters will allow you to take your combos to new heights, your support can also stop enemy advances and take you away from a pitch if necessary. Remember, this isn’t Naruto, so you will not be able to escape from combos without help from your partner.

Parrying is a Must

In the game, a key function to turn the battle around is the Parry stance, which allows you to block an enemy advance while leaving them open for a combo of your own. With that said, the stance may, if used out of time, leave you open for a combo, so make sure you know how to use it efficiently before trying on a real match. You can check out our guide on how to parry efficiently here.

Synergy is Key

Every playable character in the game has their strongest and weakest suits. Some, such as Ganyu Tomioka and Inosuke Hashibira are all-rounders. Others, such as Hinokami Tanjiro, are specialized in finishing combos by dealing high damage. And some, like Shinobu Kocho, excel in dealing off-field damage and in keeping combos going. With that said, it is a must to know each character’s strengths and weakness so that they can work well together when on the field. Knowing each character will also allow you to be somewhat prepared no matter the composition your opponent decides to use on the match.
