Destiny 2: How to Complete Bound in Sorrow Week 1 Quest

Recommended Videos

Season of the Risen’s Week 1 quest in Destiny 2 is called Bound in Sorrow. This quest is given to you after the introductory quest. You’ll need to travel to H.E.L.M. and interact with Crown of Sorrow, the new NPC Vendor. Coincidentally, this is also your way to the Opulent weapons unique to Season 17. In any case, here is how to complete Bound in Sorrow in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted.

How to Complete Bound in Sorrow in Destiny 2

Bound in Sorrow is a 51-step quest, so we don’t know every single thing you need to do to complete it just yet. We do know how to complete the first 5 steps and that should be enough for you to figure out how to do the rest on your own.

For the first step of Bound in Sorrow, you’ll need to gather 500 Vestiges of Dread. To do this, you basically need to open chests on the Derelict Leviathan, defeat combatants anywhere in the system, and complete Nightmare Containment activities. Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive 1 Figments of Darkness and an Umbral Engram.

Step two of Bound in Sorrow in Destiny 2 will require you to complete tiers of Nightmare Containment in the Moon’s Derelict Leviathan and create Bound Presence. You can create Bound Presence at the end of a Nightmare Containment by going up to the Nightmare Harvester and spending 500 Vestiges of Dread. You’ll get some seasonal loot and complete step two of the quest.

Step three of Bound in Sorrow will open a new quest called Sever. This quest is located on the Moon and will take you further into the story being told throughout Season of the Haunted. Complete Sever – Shame in the Moon to progress to the next step. The fourth step of the quest is easy: visit Crow in H.E.L.M.

After talking with Crow in H.E.L.M., step five of the Bound in Sorrow quest will ask you to return to the Crown of Sorrow and debrief with Eris. Once you have gotten to this section, you’ll need to wait a week for the rest of the quest to become available.

And that is everything you need to know so far for the Bound in Sorrow quest in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted. For more, be sure to check out our Destiny 2 guides. We cover everything from the new Solar 3.0 to Opulent weapons.
