The Deathbringer Exotic Rocket Launcher is one of the new powerful exotic weapons that has arrived in Destiny 2 via the Shadowkeep expansion.  This exotic item is tied to an exotic quest which will unlock once you’ve completed the Shadowkeep story missions.  Once complete, you’ll have a quest in your inventory named Memory of Sai Mota.  This is a multi-step quest that entails that you complete the “Lunar Spelunker” bounty which you can get from Eris Morn to start.

Step 1: Get the Lunar Spelunker bounty from Eris and complete

To complete the bounty which is the first leg of this quest and necessary to start the Exotic Quest is to head into three different lost sectors.  You’ll be going to the three lost sectors NOT in Sorrow’s Harbor.  Completing this quest will give you a Firewall Data Fragment.  Once you have the Firewall Data Fragment you’ll then head to Sorrow’s Harbor for the final lost sector on the Moon.

Step 2: Take the Firewall Data Fragment to the K1 Revelation Lost Sector

Once you’ve got the Firewall Data Fragment you can go to the K1 Revelation Lost Sector and access the System core vault.  Once you’ve defeated the Lost Sector boss in K1 Revelation you will take the door heading to the right.  You will find a vault door which you can use the Firewall Data Fragment to open.  Once you’ve opened the door you can process the fragments at which point you will get another quest step in Memory of Sai Mota which requires that you get Necklace Scraps.

Step 3: Collect Necklace Scraps on the Moon

The third part of this quest requires that you hunt down Nightmares on the Moon and kill them with Arc abilities.  This can be done pretty easily in the Sorrow’s Harbor area as there are numerous Nightmares that spawn pretty much over and over again.  Make sure you’re using any of your arc abilities for the final blow to make sure that you receive necklace fragments.  Once you’ve collected 20 you’ll head back to Eris at Sanctuary.

Step 4: Head into the Portal near Eris Landing Zone

Once you’ve got the necklace you’ll want to return it to Eris.  She’s not in her normal spot though, you’ll need to head into the portal and then you’ll find her on the overlook of the Pyramid where Ikora was earlier in the story missions.  Listen to her talk and you’ll be asked to open the chest next to her.  Opening the chest will then give you the Faculties of the Skull Exotic Quest.  Completing this quest will ultimately give you the Deathbringer Exotic Rocket Launcher.
