Far Cry 6 places you in the fictional land of Yara and it’s one of the most gorgeous looking and fun places to explore in the entire series. Part of what makes the map great is the interactions you can have with the animals that inhabit it. Whether it’s training crocodiles to hunt down your foes or using your trusty dog Chorizo to cause some chaos, you are very much in tune with the wildlife that inhabits Yara. This isn’t just for the ground animals either as one of the side missions called Shock Therapy requires you to feed some pelicans and another one called A Little Birdie told Me involves a treasure hunt and the pelicans. This is easier said than done though, so here’s how to feed pelicans in Far Cry 6.
How to Feed Pelicans in Far Cry 6
Before you can feed a pelican in Far Cry 6, you actually need to find something to feed it first. What do pelicans generally eat? Fish of course! So we’re going to need a fishing rod and then we need to catch three fish for this particular quest. Once you’ve got your food in tow, we need to find a pelican that is temporarily grounded in order to feed it.
The part of the map you’ll find pelicans the easiest is called the La Joya region which is on the eastern side of the map. The map will show you the area that the pelican hunting spots are, so zoom in to find one that suits you.
Once you’ve got your pelican in your sights, it’s time to get stealthy as if it hears you approaching, it will fly away and you’ll have to wait for another one to land. In order to keep it from flying away, crouch down and approach it very slowly. When you get close enough, you will get a prompt to feed it. If you manage to do it without it flying away, you can feed it more and once you’ve done that 3 times, this step of the mission will be completed.
Far Cry 6 doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel, but it’s a fun if not familiar romp into a unique location with an incredible villain performance by Giancarlo Esposito and is definitely worth your time.
Far Cry 6 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
