Far Cry 6 Black Market Explained: Reset Time, Moneda, and More

Recommended Videos

Far Cry 6 has a special Black Market where you can buy unique weapons, but it doesn’t work like the other shops on the island of Yara. The Far Cry 6 Black Market doesn’t take Yaran Pesos and instead deals in Moneda, a unique currency that can only be obtained from certain activities. The market’s inventory also refreshes on a regular basis, bringing in exotic new weapons that you can use in the fight against Anton Castillo’s regime. Here’s everything you need to know about the Far Cry 6 Black Market.

Where is the Far Cry 6 Black Market?

The Black Market can be found at any of the main Guerrilla Camps in Far Cry 6. To access the shop, speak to a character named Lola. She also assigns Special Operations if you’re looking for additional work. She’s marked with a blue diamond icon floating above her. Lola is only available at the main Guerilla Camps where the game switches to a third-person camera, so you unfortunately cannot find her at liberated facilities or smaller camps.

What Does the Black Market Sell?

The Black Market sells various weapons. The main draw of the Black Market is Overclocked weapons, which have higher stats than their normal counterparts. Some weapons in the Black Market are also unobtainable anywhere else, so it’s worth checking in often to see what Lola has in stock. Think of it like the special vendors in the Assassin’s Creed games where you can spend Opal or Orichalcum.

For example, the Eastern Front sniper rifle is a unique weapon that can only be obtained from Lola. It’s a named variant of the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle, which can’t be found anywhere in Yara. It’s also an Overclocked weapon, meaning it comes with an Overclocked mod that increases its base damage output. Overclocked weapons also have more available mod slots, so you can customize them to your liking even more than their standard counterparts.

How to Earn Moneda

The Black Market’s powerful weapons can only be obtained with Moneda, a special currency that is obtained from certain activities. Moneda is obtained from all activities when you play online co-op. If you’re playing solo, then you can earn Moneda from completing Lola’s Special Operations. These reward Moneda upon completion and can be repeated as often as you like.

The best way to earn Moneda, however, is from a post-game activity called Insurgency. After beating the main story of Far Cry 6, you can earn 2500 Moneda each week by taking out Insurgent Leaders that pop up across Yara. Insurgency just gives you an excuse to capture more bases and blow more stuff up after rolling credits, only this time you’ll be rewarded with Moneda in addition to everything else.

When Does the Far Cry 6 Black Market Update?

The Far Cry 6 Black Market refreshes its inventory on a weekly basis. You can see a timer counting down to the reset date when you’re shopping in the Black Market. Some items will remain, while others will be swapped out for new merchandise. If you missed out on an item in the Black Market, it’ll roll back around eventually.

Far Cry 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Check out our review of the game here.
