Far Cry 6 Release Time
Far Cry 6 launches on the 7th of October 2021 on all platforms. Ubisoft has opted for a rolling release model for the game. This means that the game will launch at 12:01 AM local time in each region. This is good news for New Zealanders and others in similar time zones who will get to play first but it might be disappointing for folks on the other side of the map who will have to wait a few hours to play.
Far Cry 6 File Size and Pre-Load Details
To make sure you are ready to play as soon as the game launches, it is a good idea to pre-load. This is an option available to all gamers who pre-ordered the game.
From 48 hours prior to launch, pre-loading will be open on all platforms. This means you will be able to start downloading Far Cry 6 from Tuesday, the 5th of October.

The Gold Edition comes with the base game as well as a Season Pass. The Season Pass will grant you access to post-launch DLC including post-game story expansions, gear, weapons, and vehicles. The Ultimate Edition contains the base game, a Season Pass, and an Ultimate Pack. The Ultimate Pack contains a host of useful items including weapons, outfits, and vehicles.
The more expensive version of the game is the Collector’s Edition which contains everything the Ultimate Edition contains in addition to a Tostador Flamethrower replica and stand, an artbook, a set of 10 stickers, an exclusive steelbook, a map of Yara, a Chorizo keyring, and the game’s soundtrack.
