Halo Infinite Season 2 is in full swing, with another event underway. This event, Fractured: Entrenched, splits itself into 4 weeks in which you can compete for and win fantastic customization options to create your ideal Spartan.  The challenge features a brand new mode, aptly named Entrenched, which feels like a middle ground between Strongholds and King of the Hill, and players are always happy to have new ways to duke it out online.  Read on for our guide on Challenges, Rewards, and Armor for the Halo Infinite Fractured: Entrenched Event!

Altogether there are 6 different challenges with varying tiers of completion, and 30 rewards, of which there are 20 armor customization options, most notably being the Eaglestrike Armor Core.  The mode featured in the challenges is the Entrenched mode, and the Eaglestrike armor being featured here is a fitting choice, with a combination of influences from WWI/WWII trench warfare, and power armor from contemporary examples like Fallout’s Brotherhood of Steel and Warhammer 40k’s Space Marines.  For those seeking the Eaglestrike armor core, it’ll unlock after you complete 5 event challenges (marked orange).  This week’s featured ultimate challenge also nets you an Eaglestrike-themed visor.

This event will take place scattered across four weeks through the summer, with the current week being May 24th-May 30th, 2022.  The next weeks during which you can play Entrenched to seek out the rewards are as follows:

  • June 14th, 2022 – June 20th, 2022
  • July 5th, 2022 – July 11th, 2022
  • August 16th, 2022 – August 22nd, 2022

The challenges are focused on playing the Entrenched mode in the game, such as:

  • Grab Bag – Cumulative Player Score in Land Grab (Entrenched) matches
  • War Hero – Kill Enemy Spartans in Land Grab matches
  • Overtake – Capture a Zone in Land Grab
  • The UNSC Needs You! – Complete Land Grab matches
  • Multitasking – Kill Enemy Spartans Defending their Zone in Land grab
  • Precious Time – Spend Seconds Occupying Zones in Land Grab matches

Overall, Entrenched plays like a fun, chaotic Halo mode where every time you successfully capture 1 of any 3 marked points on the map, your team scores a point, and after capturing 10, your team has a shot at victory.  It’s essentially Strongholds but at a faster pace, and if you split King of the Hill into 3 zones.  So outlasting your opponents and playing defensively will be key here, with rapid smash-and-grab operations on points enemies are trying to capture, proving critical.
