Fighting an enemy in V Rising

How to Heal in V Rising

Recommended Videos

In the world of V Rising, you’ll need to do everything you can to survive. You’ll need to build the biggest castle around, the best machinery, and a Blood Altar to bring your vengeance to those that deserve it most. But most importantly, you’ll need to take care of yourself. Just because you are the king of the underworld doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve some TLC of your own.

Yes, you’ll need to make sure that you’re keeping yourself healed at every point in the game, especially if you’re planning on taking down some of the big baddies that this game has to offer. So, let’s dive right into this one and figure out how to heal yourself in V Rising!

Bloody Brilliance in V Rising

V-Rising-

As you venture into the world, during the day or at night, you’ll need to make sure that you are able to take care of yourself when you find it necessary. If you’re looking to see all of your healing skills, the easiest way to do that is by bringing up your Blood Powers. To access your radial wheel of powers, you’ll just need to press the CTRL Key, which will pop that right up.

Once you have done that, you’ll want to look for the skill Blood Mend, which will allow you to give yourself some of your power back. This skill is unlocked from the beginning of the game, so you don’t need to make it to a certain point in the game before you’re able to start healing yourself. However, if you do use this power, make sure you are away from enemies, as the animation does take some time, leaving you vulnerable to an attack from your foes.

Making sure that your blood pool is full is key to surviving, as Blood Mend will use this up. You’ll want to start sucking the blood out of creatures and foes alike, and you may find yourself with a new bonus from a different blood type, as well. If you find yourself running a little low on blood at the moment, there are other ways to heal yourself, as well.

Using potions and salves uses some of your resources up but will allow you to continue the fight and not risk being taken down, due to the slow speed of Blood Mend. You’ll be able to experiment and find which items and Blood Powers work best for you! And make sure to stay out of the sun, to avoid it’s dangerous rays.

V Rising is available now, in early access, on Microsoft Windows.
