Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has officially been fully revealed and fans now have a clear picture of what the next game in the series will be. Ahead of the October 28th release of Modern Warfare 2 there will be an open beta that allows fans to take the game for a test drive ahead of launch. If you’re looking for details on how to sign-up for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta we’ve got you covered with all of the information you need.
How to Sign Up for the Modern Warfare 2 Beta
If you’re really interested in being one of the first to get to play the Modern Warfare 2 Beta you’re going to need to pre-order the game on one of the available platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or on PC. This will give you early access to the Modern Warfare beta. All of the aforementioned platforms will have a beta, regardless of whether you pre-order the game on a digital storefront or physically. Activision says there is no code redemption necessary for pre-orders on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or through Battle.net.
Once the beta goes live, you’ll automatically get access to the game if you’ve pre-ordered digitally. If you opt for the physical pre-order, Activision says that the retailer will likely either print the beta access code on your receipt or email you your code with access to the Modern Warfare 2 beta.
When is the Modern Warfare 2 Beta
There has been no release date for the Modern Warfare 2 beta, but it’s likely that the beta will run weeks ahead of the actual release of the game which is set for late October.
Like other Call of Duty betas, you will need to enter your code on the Call of Duty website so if you haven’t already created an account there you will need to do so and link it to your platform of choice.
So for now there isn’t much you need to do to get access to the beta other than pre-ordering the game if you want to get early access. After the early access period it’ll likely just be accessible on all platforms for a limited time.
