At the beginning of each round in EA Sports UFC 5, players are given the opportunity to touch their gloves —an act that is considered in the world of professional fighting as one of the ultimate signs of both mutual respect and sportsmanship between athletes.
To help you take part in what I personally consider to be one of the most awesome acts in sports, as well as stop you from leaving your opponents hanging by mistake, here’s how to touch gloves with your opponent in UFC 5.
How to Touch Gloves With Your Opponent in UFC 5
You can touch gloves with your opponent on EA Sports UFC 5 by simply holding L2 (PS5) / LT (Xbox) while moving toward them from your starting position, which will prompt your fighter to raise their arm. In order to successfully touch gloves, your opponent (or you if they prompt the gesture) must then perform the same action or simply hold L2/LT to reciprocate it.

Although I would like to say that you should attempt to touch gloves at the start of every round or match, I recommend that you be careful when attempting to do so online. The reason for that lies in the fact that given how you will be open for damage while doing the motion, some players may use the opportunity to get a free hit, which can more often than not cause a KO.
