Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is becoming more and more of a reality with things like the Vault Edition announcement. As if we weren’t hyped already, Activision is continuing to release more information about the various editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which look to include some really cool stuff. Let’s dive right into the question: is the Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 worth it?

All Vault Edition Content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Announced today alongside the pre-order bonus content, Activision has revealed what the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition is. First off, the Vault Edition is available to all the platforms that the game will come to and it will cost $99.99. It has been advertised as the “highest-tier version of Modern Warfare 2.” Available with the pre-order, the Vault Edition will give you early access to the open beta and the Ghost Legacy Pack, which includes 12 Ghost skins and 10 Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprints for Modern Warfare and Warzone.

The biggest character cosmetic given to you through the Vault Edition is called Red Team 141. Vault Edition owners will receive a special masked outfit of Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap on day one. They all look incredible and there’s no telling if these character skins will be available for purchase in-game or only for Vault Edition members.

We don’t know much about it yet, but the Vault Edition will give owners the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault. Again, Activision is keeping tight-lipped about this Weapon Vault for now, but more information will be available closer to launch.

Vault Edition owners will receive the Season 1 Battle Pass and 50 Tier Skips. The Season 1 Battle Pass is said to hold Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, and more. Lastly, on day one, Vault Edition owners will get 10 Hours Double XP Tokens and 10 Hours Double Weapon XP Tokens.

Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition Worth It?

Though it is hard to say if the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition is worth it just yet since there are aspects of it that we don’t fully know about like the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault and what will be available in the Battle Pass, if you are a die-hard Call of Duty lover, then the Vault Edition is definitely worth it.
