There was a lot of hype leading up to the full release of Mario Strikers Battle League, but there was one glaring omission with all the media we saw. Where is Daisy? Where is the people’s princess of the Mushroom Kingdom? Peach safely secured a spot on the team, but what about Luigi’s better half? We’ll break down if Daisy is in Mario Strikers Battle League.
Is Daisy in Mario Strikers Battle League?
This might be a dealbreaker for many Daisy enthusiasts but she is unfortunately not in the game. She isn’t even an unlockable character. While this may be a massive disappointment for many, not all is doom and gloom.
Nintendo has been handling their post-launch content for many of these games by slowly releasing new characters as time goes on. It may not be today or tomorrow, or in a week, but there is hope that she can join her fellow mates out on the soccer field.
The roster, as it stands right now, also has a quantity problem that will be pointed out by many. You’d think that the many iconic members who have been friends or enemies to Mario would be playable, especially given the expansive roster of previous games like Mario Kart 8.
We have no confirmation why Daisy didn’t make the initial cut, but we can only assume that her relevance has been waning in terms of being a popular princess in the Mushroom Kingdom. There have been more games that put Princess Rosalina at the forefront of the stage, given the impact made by the Super Mario Galaxy games.
Besides, Rosalina became her own character in recent games like the Smash Bros games before Daisy did, which can only confirm this loose suspicion. Hopefully, Nintendo can see that there is a strong fandom behind Daisy so then she and Luigi can both dish out some major plays in Battle League.
Mario Strikers Battle League is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
