Life is Strange: True Colors allows players to romance Ryan and Steph, two of Alex’s closest friends in Haven Springs. You can flirt with both of them at multiple points during the game, but you can’t officially start a relationship with either of them until the second half of the game. Your decisions throughout the game won’t lock you out of a romance with Ryan or Steph, either, so don’t stress too much about getting them to like you during the early chapters. All you have to do is make the right choice at the right time to romance them. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about romancing Ryan in Life is Strange: True Colors.
How to Romance Ryan in Life is Strange: True Colors
You cannot officially romance Ryan until the Spring Festival in Chapter 4 of the game. People traditionally give roses to people they like at this festival, and that’s your ticket to a relationship with Ryan. Grab a rose from the Rose Cart to the right of the stage. Then, walk over to Ryan near the stage and give him the rose.
Once you give him the rose, he’ll ask to meet up after the show. Just giving Ryan the rose isn’t enough to romance him, though. You’ll need to fully commit after the performance is over. When you meet up with Ryan after the show, choose to kiss him. If you decide to hug him instead, your relationship will remain platonic. If you want to romance Ryan, make sure you kiss him.
Steph and Ryan are the only two romance options in the game, and choosing one of them here will lock you into a relationship if you decide to go through with it. If you would rather go the Steph route, then check out our guide on how to romance Steph in Life is Strange: True Colors.
Life is Strange: True Colors is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version is coming at a later date.
