Life is Strange True Colors: Take the Money for Ethan or Turn the Offer Down?

Recommended Videos

In Chapter 2 of Life is Strange: True Colors, Charlotte receives an offer from Typhon and asks you if she should take the money for Ethan or turn the offer down. This is one of the biggest choices you have to make in Chapter 2, and both options seem like they could be the right choice. She is unsure if taking the money would betray Gabe’s memory, but she could really use the extra cash for Ethan. So, should you take the money for Ethan or turn the offer down in Life is Strange: True Colors?

Take the Money for Ethan or Turn the Offer Down?

This choice does not have any major effects on the story or ending of Life is Strange: True Colors. You should simply choose what you feel is right. Charlotte will be appreciative regardless of your decision, and her relationship with Alex will improve no matter what you choose.

If you take the money for Ethan, Alex will tell her that Ethan should come first no matter how scummy the affidavit feels. If you tell her to turn the offer down, Alex will tell her that she shouldn’t let Typhon buy her off and that they’ll eventually find out the truth behind Gabe’s death. This is an optional encounter, so make sure you stop by the dispensary in Chapter 2 so you don’t miss out on this decision.

At most, this choice has minor effects on dialogue in later chapters. There are bigger choices to make later in the game involving Charlotte, and some of those choices will have a much larger effect on your ending and your relationship with Charlotte. Regardless of what you choose, Alex will still continue her investigation into Typhon and the story will go on normally.

Life is Strange: True Colors is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is coming later this year.
