After retrieving the Phantom Cloak from Corpius, some players may find themselves stuck. Metroid Dread doesn’t provide much guidance from here on out, and returning to ADAM won’t provide many clues. This guide will get you up to speed on where to head next in order to continue progressing the story.
Head left of Corpius’ boss room, then climb up the corridor
After defeating Corpius, exit the room and make your way up the corridor. A door will stop you from exiting, shutting down as soon as Samus gets near it. Use the Phantom Cloak before approaching the door and Samus will make it through unimpeded. After this, make your way up the platforms in the hall above. Another sensor door will block your way, but once more the Phantom Cloak can bypass the obstacle. As soon as you’re through, destroy the cracked stone blocking your way and head upwards once more.
Travel down the magma tunnel to reach Cataris
After destroying the cracked stone and heading through the top right door you’ll be able to make your way through a long, cinematic hallway. Once you’re through this tunnel, head towards the bottom of the presented corridor. To the right, there will be another sensor door. Use the Phantom Cloak to pass through it and continue heading rightward.
After you make your way through the enemy-filled hallway, you should come to a tall corridor lined with magnetic surfaces and flame-spewing geysers. Time your ascent so as to not be hit by the flames as you climb the tower. Once you’re at the top you will come to a pressure plate placed in the middle of the room. Stand on the plate and you’ll be prompted to travel to Cataris, the next region of the game.
