Pokemon Go Baltoy Spotlight Hour

Pokemon GO Baltoy Spotlight Hour: Schedule, Shiny Baltoy, and Catch XP Bonus

Recommended Videos

The next weekly Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go is nearly upon us, and this week Baltoy is taking the spotlight with an increased spawn rate and additional bonuses. Last week’s Spotlight Hour centered around Spoink, and Pokemon Go players had the chance to get double Stardust per catch and had a better chance of finding a Shiny Spoink thanks to increased spawn rates. This week’s Spotlight Hour brings similar bonuses, so you don’t want to miss it. Here’s everything you need to know about Baltoy Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go.

When is Baltoy Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go?

Baltoy Spotlight Hour will take place from 6-7 PM local time on Tuesday, September 14. This is the same time that Spotlight Hours typically happen, so nothing has changed this week.

Can Baltoy Be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, Shiny Baltoy can currently be caught in Pokemon Go. Shiny Pokemon are very rare, but Spotlight Hours are the best time to try and catch them. If you want a Shiny Baltoy, then you’ll have the best chance of finding one during Baltoy Spotlight Hour.

The Shiny spawn rate itself won’t be boosted during this event, but Baltoy spawns will be dramatically increased. If you use an Incense, your area will be flooded with wild Baltoy. If you encounter enough of them, you’re bound to come across a Shiny one eventually.

How to Prepare for Baltoy Spotlight Hour in Pokemon Go

You’ll only have one hour to catch as many Baltoy as you can during the Spotlight Hour, so make sure you do the appropriate preparations beforehand. Here are some things you can do to be better prepared for Baltoy Spotlight Hour:

  • Stock up on Poke Balls
  • Stock up on Berries
  • Make room in your Pokemon Storage Box
  • Purchase Incense or Lures

The last thing you want during this event is to run out of Poke Balls or Berries, so make sure you have enough to last the whole hour. Also, you’ll be catching a lot of Baltoy, so you’ll want to make room in your Storage Box for all those new Pokemon. Also, Incense or Lures can increase the spawn rate of Baltoy even further.

Spotlight Hour Increased Spawn and Shiny Rate

During Spotlight Hour, the spawn rate of Baltoy will be boosted for a full hour. That means you’ll have a better chance of finding a Shiny Baltoy as well, simply due to the increased number of Baltoy you’ll see during the event.

This Spotlight Hour will also grant players double catch XP, so catch as many Baltoy as you can if you want to power level. You can also use a Lucky Egg or Star Piece to boost your XP gains during the Spotlight Hour as well. The next few Spotlight Hours will focus on Candy bonuses, so take advantage of the boosted XP gains while you can.
