Pokemon Go has some very interesting spawn mechanics hidden within the game. Pokemon seem to almost appear at random, but if you know some tricks you can usually skew your chances of finding rare Pokemon. It doesn’t even have to be rare Pokemon though, with some of the more common varieties being very important to the metagame. Many of these appear all the time for some users, while others are starving for them. Eevee is one of these Pokemon, so we’re gonna show you where to find Eevee in Pokemon Go.
For many of you this guide will be useless, as Eevee is a common spawn for a lot of people. For those who are unlucky enough to be in an area where they don’t appear that frequently, hopefully what little info we have about Eevee spawns will help you. You, of course, want to capture as many of them as possible, in order to evolve Eevee into Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon. See this guide for how to make sure you get the Eeveelution that you want.
Now, where to find Eevee in Pokemon Go. Unfortunately there isn’t many hard set rules for this. Eevee is a normal type Pokemon, so they will spawn almost anywhere, with no restrictions like fire and electric types which usually appear near fire stations and power plants respectively.
With that in mind, the best advice so far has been to focus in on highly populated areas. Even if you don’t live in a big city, find your nearest downtown area and go there, or locate a nearby college campus. Wherever large numbers of people will be, with a bonus if they’re playing the game.
Eevee also seems to spawn near Pokestops very frequently, so find clusters of them and hang out. Lures will obviously do wonders here, drawing in any Eevees that are in the area. No need to look for water or any other special geography. If Eevee simply never spawns near any of these locations then you might just be in the wrong area. You can hatch them from eggs, but Eevee appears in the 10km eggs, so that option is very difficult.
Not too helpful, I know. But that’s all the info that’s available right now on where to find Eevee in Pokemon Go. Once trading is up and running you should be swimming in them, with players looking to offload their extras for less common Pokemon from their area.
