In the world of Pokemon GO, we’ve been celebrating the Season of Alola for quite some time. You’ve found plenty of new Pokemon, and new events, and taken part in many battles against foes small and large. But, when can we expect to roll into the newest set of Pokemon to roll into the game, and what can we expect to see for the next big update for the game?
Let’s take a look into what we’ve experienced, what may be upcoming in the next big update, and when everything should be rolling out to fans eager to find some new pocket monsters to catch!
What Comes Next In Pokemon GO?
Pokemon GO brought the introduction of Generation 7 Pokemon when it launched the Season of Alola on March 1st, 2022. As time has continued forward, we’ve seen quite a few new Pokemon make their way into the game, legendary raids, and so much more. There have also been some great bonuses running through this season, as well:
- Guaranteed Gifts from PokeStop spins
- Up to two free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo PokeStops
- Increased damage for Pokemon partaking in Remote Raids
- Incense lasting 90 minutes
- Increased Incense effectiveness while moving
Players also got to partake in quite a few new Special Research tasks throughout this event, kicking things off with A Melemele Adventure, and things haven’t slowed down. Players have been able to challenge Pokemon like Tapu Fini in Special Raid events, as well as find special Pokemon like Scarf Laparas, and Flying Pikachu, too. Players have at least one more Special Research Task awaiting them, as well:
- A Melemele Adventure – March 1st
- An Akala Adventure – March 22nd
- An Ula’ula Adventure – April 12th
- Poni Island Special Research – May 10th
- End of Season Special Research – May 25th
But, players are eager to know when the next set of Pokemon will make their way into the game, and that should begin starting on June 1st when the Season of Alola officially ends. But, what’s coming up next? We can possibly expect to see the introduction of Generation 8 Pokemon added to the game, as well as new Pokemon from previous generations, and new Shiny Pokemon to see and capture.
