Pokemon Let’s Go Where to Get Lures

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

In Pokemon Let’s Go Lures are an important part of the game if you want to catch the best Pokemon.  Problem is, lures don’t come cheap, they don’t last forever, and you can’t get them everywhere.  Here’s what you need to know about lures in Pokemon Let’s Go and where to get them.

Lures come in three different tiers.  There are normal lures, Super Lure, and Max Lure.  Lures actually increase your odds of finding different rare Pokemon and finding Shiny Pokemon as well.  Depending on the area you are in, you could find rare Pokemon like Butterfree, Scyther, or Cloyster.  If you are grinding for Shiny Pokemon they are an absolute must to have.

So where do you get lures in Pokemon Let’s Go?  You can purchase them at any Poke Mart location in the game, but you have to progress to the second gym in Cerulean City to unlock Lures in the Poke Mart.

Once you’ve defeated Misty in the Cerulean City Gym you’ll earn the Cascade Badge, but you’ll also unlock Lures at the Poke Mart.  Lures can then be purchased for 400 Poke Dollars at the store.  Initially you’ll only have access to regular lures, but continuing the game you will unlock the more powerful lures.

More powerful lures will not help spawn more rare Pokemon, instead the Super Lure and Max Lure will allow you take more steps before wearing off.
