Pokemon Sword and Shield introduces a brand new mechanic known as Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, which play a role in the battle system. Only certain Pokemon have the Gigantamax ability though, with you having to get those special ones that are able to use it, similar to Mega Evolution in the past. One of those Pokemon that can use Gigantamax is Meowth, which is available for you to get in the game very easily and this guide will explain how you can do so.

How To Get Gigantamax Meowth

Meowth is actually one of the very first Pokemon that you can acquire in Pokemon Sword and Shield, though you won’t be getting it through finding and catching it in the wild. Instead, we are going to utilize the Mystery Gift function that we discussed in another guide to get this Pokemon.

To get Gigantamax Meowth in Pokemon Sword and Shield, follow the steps to get to the Mystery Gift by finding it in the pause menu and then selecting “Get a Mystery Gift.” For Meowth specifically, we are going to select the option that says “Get via Internet” next. At this point, the game is going to connect to the internet and search for any available gifts. At least at the launch of the launch of the game, Gigantamax Meowth Gift should be the only option available to you.

Once you have found the Gigantamax Meowth Gift, select it and choose to get it. Once you do that, Meowth is yours. You don’t even have to go try and find a delivery man in the game, as Meowth is now in your party as long as you had room.
