Pokemon Sword and Shield may have become somewhat infamous for the characters it removed from the game, but it still includes a lot of old favorites. And some of those favorites have returned in new and interesting ways, such as Galarian Mr. Mime and his evolution line. This includes Mime Jr, a fascinating baby form Pokemon. But this is one of those creatures that you won’t find out in the wild, leaving many to wonder how to get Mime Jr. in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
How to Get Mime Jr.
As I said, Mime Jr is a baby Pokemon, which should give you a hint as to how to get him in Sword and Shield. Breeding is the answer, so check out our breeding guide before reading more here. You need to first catch a Galarian Mr. Mime (more on that later) and then use him to breed your own Mime Jr. Use Ditto if you want to be sure you get the Pokemon you’re looking for, but even knowing all of this won’t insure a Mime Jr. is the result. There’s more to it than just breeding, the Mr. Mime also needs to be holding an Odd Incense. If you put a Mr. Mime holding Odd Incense and a Ditto into the nursery then the egg it produces will be Mime Jr. Hatch the egg and that’s how to get Mime Jr. in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
But that likely leaves you with more questions, so let’s cover those as well.
Where to Get Odd Incense
Odd Incense is found in the town of Hulburry. This quiet seaside town is home to a few vendors who offer unique and special items that will be necessary on your journey to become the Galarian champion. One of them is the Herb Shop which is where to get Odd Incense in Pokemon Sword and Shield. To get there just get to the Pokemon Center and head to the right. At the bottom of the screen is a set of stairs which lead to the vendor area. Speak with the blonde woman at the bottom of the stairs to get Odd Incense and other herbs.
Where to Get Mr. Mime
Now for the other ingredient to get Mime Jr. If you’re wondering where to get Mr. Mime the answer is Route 10. You can also find him in the Lake of Outrage section of the Wild Area, but only if the weather is snowing. Route 10 has them all the time and in great quantities. Head there, capture a Mr. Mime, and follow the above info and you’ll know how to get Mime Jr. in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
