This is a guide designed to help your ability to earn XP in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.  Using these methods will help you rank up quickly, and hopefully help in completing the 15 prestige levels in Advanced Warfare multiplayer.

How to Rank up Fast

Ranking up in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is all about earning XP.  There are many ways to go about this, but some techniques will make it go a lot quicker than grinding through level after level.  Selling weapons from your armory, completing Operations Challenges, and Playing the right game modes will help expedite the process.

Sell unused weapons from your Armory

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s new loot system rewards you with new weapons and gear periodically.  And while many of these weapons and gear have unique features, not all of them are going to appeal to you.  Don’t just let those items sit in your armory.  You can sell them for XP boosts.  This option is only available for the rare gear that is highlighted with green, blue and orange titles.  The XP received from the sale of these weapons goes directly into your total XP pool, so selling these in mass is a great way to level up quickly.  To sell these items, simply head to your armory, highlight the item and press the corresponding button that says “Redeem for XP”.  You’ll be prompted with a message telling you how much XP you’ll earn for selling the item, and how much progress you’ll get for the sale.

Complete Operations Challenges

This might seem like a no-brainer, but many Call of Duty players get comfortable with specific weapons, attachments, perks, and abilities.  Call of Duty has always had a large challenge system, and Advanced Warfare is no different.  The game will constantly reward you for completing challenges with weapons, attachments, exosuit abilities, scorestreaks, specific game modes, and just about every other quantifiable aspect of the game.  But the more you use specific gear, the harder it is to earn those points as the challenges start taking longer and longer to complete.

Completing more of these smaller challenges by switching up the gear that you use is a way to complete many challenges, instead of focusing on ones that require more time.

The Best Game Mode for XP in Advanced Warfare

Hardpoint is the best game to earn XP in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.  So if you’re objective is ranking up quickly, you’ll do best to stick to this mode.  Hardpoint is an objective that offers a lot of different ways to earn more XP than other modes.  The game mode has a constantly shifting objective are that is constantly being attacked and defended by each team.  Hardpoint will give you a standard number of points for each kill, but you’ll also earn bonus XP for attacking and defending the objective, securing it, or killing players that are defending or attacking the objective.

Hardpoint is fast-paced, and it’s constantly funneling players towards the objectives.  You can’t help but rack up massive XP in this mode, there’s not a better way to earn a lot of XP in Advanced Warfare than by playing a lot of Hardpoint.

Mountain Dew and Doritos XP Codes

Double XP from Activision isn’t going to last forever, and they only occasionally offer promotional weekends where all players can rank up twice as fast.  But they’ve partnered with Mountain Dew and Doritos to offer XP codes in their drinks.  Want to level up quickly?  Drinking a lot of Mountain Dew and eating a lot of chips will help you. Depending on what types of these products you buy, you can earn from 15 – 45 minutes of double XP or Rapid Supply drops (which can also be redeemed for XP… see above).

Hopefully these tips will help you rank up quickly in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.  Have tips of your own to help others rank up quickly?  Leave your comments below!
