Remnant: From the Ashes – How to Get More Ammo

Run out of ammo? This guide can help.

In a game like Remnant: From the Ashes ammo can be more precious than life itself. You’ll die a lot in this game, but if you’re out of ammo you are almost useless. Sure, you can melee enemies, but that’s not always a viable strategy. You probably need to take them out from afar and to do that you need bullets. But sometimes they’re especially hard to come by. To help, here’s a rundown of how to get more ammo in Remnant: From the Ashes.

How to Get More Ammo

The first answer is the more obvious one, and the one you probably don’t want to hear if you’re reading this with a big battle ahead of you. Enemies drop ammo, and in the middle of a mission this is the best way to get more of it. The drops are random, but the more enemies you kill the more ammo you’ll get, with red loot spawning from the corpse of freshly killed prey. If you’re far from any checkpoints and just have to do some Root killing, try to pick off a few enemies with whatever weapons you have available and look for the ammo drops.

If you are near a checkpoint or already back in Ward 13 then you’re in luck. First off, resting at a checkpoint will automatically refill your ammo to full. But Ward 13 offers this option on-the-go. Reggie, the always friendly vendor is there with an item that refills your entire stock of ammo for all your weapons. He’s found in the hangar bay sort of room on the first floor and to the west side.

He stands just inside the door and to the right with shelves stacked behind him. On those shelves is an ammo box that costs just 200 scrap, so speak with him and check out his wares to buy some. Once you buy it, you can keep it in your inventory for use later, perhaps during a tough boss battle. Pop it open at the critical time to refill your ammo and be on your way to victory.

That’s the best answer for how to get more ammo in Remnant: From the Ashes. One option is less enjoyable and more luck based, but works while out on a mission. If you can make it back to Ward 13 then doing so makes ammo hunts much easier.
