Shadow of the Colossus PS4 Guide: How to Climb
Yes, Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is a game about tracking down and killing 16 colossi, but there’s many different aspects of the game you need to understand and master in order to do that. Climbing is easily the most important one, as you need to get onto these creatures and up to their weak point in order to take them down. So, here’s a quick guide on how to climb in Shadow of the Colossus for PS4.
If you’re using the default control scheme then all the buttons will match, but if you change anything then be sure to reference the default to figure out what button it relates to in your setup. So, how to climb in Shadow of the Colossus. The key is the R2 trigger. This is the button you use to grab onto things, often fur but sometimes grass or ledges.
So, depending on the colossus, you need to find the way onto their back or leg or arm and then jump and hold R2 to grab on. You can then move around slowly as you hold on, or let go to move quicker, but they can easily shake you off if you do this, so be careful. If you do start to stumble or fall you should grip R2 as soon as possible so that Wander will grab on once again.
