What has become a staple in modern Sonic games are the ever-elusive red star rings. In each zone, there are five to find. While their purposes vary from game to game, they are vital for obtaining more Vault Keys for the Chaos Emeralds. With the various zones in Sonic Frontiers, here’s a handy guide that’ll show you where all the red star rings are in 1-1.
All Red Star Rings for 1-1 in Sonic Frontiers
These rings are going to be shown based on the order in which they appear on your UI.
Ring 1
On the first runway, you’ll come across three stacks of boxes on the left and right. On the third stack, use your boost and run on the ramp/jump panel with the red border. With the speed of your boost, the ramp should propel you high enough to grab the first ring.
Ring 2
After the first loop and the big jump, follow the path until you see a pattern of black and brown crates. The breakable one in the middle contains the second red star ring.
Ring 3
Right after Ring 2, you’re going to turn and follow the course until you see the floating spring. Perform a homing attack and proceed to grind on the rail. At the right time, jump off the rail while boosting to get high enough and collect the third ring. This one is located just before the checkpoint.
Ring 4
This ring is unmissable. You’ll collect it once you perform the second big jump in this level.
Ring 5
After the big jump and big loop, you’ll be running in a straight line. The goal is right at the end of this runway, but slow down. You have to jump to pick this red ring up. It’ll be a bit difficult to spot as you’re most likely running down this path with the boosters and such.
Now that you have successfully obtained all the red star rings in this level, you’re that much closer to getting additional Vault Keys for those Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic Frontiers is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
