Spyro Reignited Trilogy: How To Use Cheat Codes

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a ground-up remaster of the PS1-era Spyro trilogy. Toys for Bob has gone to great lengths to replicate and enhance the experience fans loved about the original games, and they’ve seemingly left no stone unturned in their efforts. Spyro controls more or less like he did in the PS1 games; the worlds are laid out exactly the same, and the revamped soundtrack still retains the most important pieces of its predecessor’s identity. Seriously though, Toys for Bob has done a great job with Spyro Reignited Trilogy; they even went so far as to include most of the trilogy’s cheat codes! Yup, fans who want to have some fun enjoying one of the goofier aspects of 90’s era gaming can stop their game at any time and enter a code. There are no special tricks required; all one has to do is bring up the pause menu.

Alright, once the game is paused, players can take their pick from any of 10 different classic cheat codes. These work across all three games, so no need to worry about selecting the correct game. The codes are as follows:

• Big Head Spyro (PS4) – Up, Up, Up, Up, R1, R1, R1, R1, Circle
• Flat Spyro (PS4) – Left, Right, Left, Right, L2, R2, L2, R2, Square
• 99 Lives (PS4) – R2, L2, R2, L2, Up, Up, Up, Up, Circle (Lives are retained even after restarting the game)
• Yellow Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Up
• Pink Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square
• Green Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Triangle
• Purple Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right
• Red Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Circle
• Blue Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, X
• Black Spyro – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Down

Except for the 99 Lives code, all of these can be undone by simply inputting the code a second time. Players who enter these cheat codes correctly should hear a little “ding” sound, as if they’ve just clicked into one of the sub-menus. These cheat codes should work in both versions of the game. All Xbox One players should have to do is substitute the PS4 inputs for their Xbox One equivalents. The converted list can be found below too.

• Flat Spyro (XB1) – Left, Right, Left, Right, LT, RT, LT, RT, X button
