If you want to unlock new abilities in The Division 2 you’re going to need Skill Points.  Getting Skill Points in The Division 2 requires that you completing specific activities in the game.  This guide will explain what missions you need to do to get skill points in The Division 2 so that you can upgrade your character and unlock new abilities.

How to Get Skill Points in The Division 2

If you want to get more Skill Points in The Division 2 you’re going to need to focus on the main missions in the game.  To find main missions you can simply pull up your map and then look for the light blue hexagon shaped icons.  Thee will be your main story missions.  If you look more closely at these icons you will see that some of them have triangles next to them.  These triangle icons indicate that this is a mission that will reward you with a skill point upon completion.

Not all Main Missions will reward you will skill points if you finish.  You can hover over these missions on the map screen and they will tell you what they will unlock upon completion.  Some offer settlement upgrades, some offer items, some offer Skill Points, or a combination of different rewards. However, you will get skill points faster if you focus on the main story missions for the game rather than side activities if that is your goal.

The fastest way to get skill points in The Division 2 is to simply complete the main missions as fast as you can.
