The Quarry is out now, and Supermassive Games’ latest title has you navigating violent terrors and figuring out who you can trust at Hackett’s Quarry. One such denizen, Travis, is the sheriff in town, and the only law enforcement officer around at that. He quickly captures Laura and Max in the prologue, but as you play more into the story, you see that their interactions are far from over, and as Laura, you’re tasked with digging into what exactly he is hiding about the quarry. You’ll quickly learn you can’t type it in yourself, you have to find the clues, but the answer is July 7, 1965, he is 56 years old. You can find each of the clues to discover this upstairs, where you’ll find a single birthday card from his mother stating his age on a bulletin board, and a calendar in the locker room near the mess of turned-over lockers, which has his birthday marked. His grasp on secrecy was ultimately undone by his sentimentality and lack of a more creative password. Once you find both of these, you can re-enter his office downstairs and log in, easy as that. Travis is one of the most misunderstood of the characters who initially antagonize you, as you’ll come to find out. The secret concealed on his computer is an attempt to cover up the Bizarre Yet Bonafide podcast, along with more details on what they’re investigating. The reasons why will become clear soon enough, as you’ll get to hear the podcast and realize they’re looking too deep into this campground’s secrets, and this will lead to more detailed discussions with Travis shortly.
