Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is out for PS4 and there are bound to be a lot of new players checking out the series for the very first time. Here are some basic tips to make your life easier for you.
First of all, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is all about exploration. This game is no ordinary linear third-person shooter as you need to look everywhere in order to know where to go to next. Rotate the camera around using the right stick and look up. If you get stuck, sometimes the NPC accompanying you will be standing where you may need to go to next.
Climbing is another thing that you will do often in this game. Climbable ledges are highlighted by flat white bars that Nathan Drake can cling onto. There is even a new rope mechanic that Drake can use. Make sure to look up lots of time to see if there’s a prompt for you to press the L1 button.
Driving the jeep is also something new to this game and knowing where the road is can be confusing at times. The best advice I can give you at the very start is look for tire tracks. There should be tire tracks in the mud that were steer you in the right way. Bridges are also located so look out for them as you will need to cross a few of them in your journey.
If you really get stuck, the game is pretty kind to you. If you wait a few minutes or so, it will guide you to the general direction you need to go or give you hints on a puzzle. Sometimes an NPC character may also shout at you to “come here”.
There’s not much else I can say about the combat as it plays like a lot of other third person shooters. The only thing you have to be wary in this game is that some walls can be destroyed while you are hiding under cover. New to this game as well as an auto-aim system so you can turn that on if you are usually as inaccurate as a Stormtrooper…
If you are looking for advice on any puzzles, we will be publishing a lot of guides for them. Look around the site as we have given solutions to most of the puzzles in the game.
