Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally here, and the multiplayer mode is packed with playlists for players to enjoy. One such playlist is the Western Front playlist, which only includes maps that take place on the western front of the war. Vanguard’s campaign and its suite of multiplayer maps span the entire globe, taking players to Germany, Japan, North Africa, and several other exotic locales. Vanguard has a ton of maps, but which ones are included in the Western Front playlist and which are left out?
Call of Duty: Vanguard Western Front Maps
There are 16 standard multiplayer maps in the game, and only 6 of them take place on the western front. These are all the maps featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Western Front playlist.
- Bocage
- Decoy
- Eagle’s Nest
- Hotel Royal
- Sub Pens
- Das Haus
This playlist includes a third of the maps in the game. Players will miss out on maps like Red Star and Castle, but they’ll still get to experience quite a few of Vanguard’s locations in this playlist.

This playlist features standout maps like Hotel Royal and Das Haus, so there’s a lot to love about it. Some players would even say that the Western Front playlist features some of Vanguard’s best maps, so some players might select it instead of the standard Quick Play selection.
The Western Front playlist is also a great change of pace if you feel like you’ve been getting the same few maps over and over again in your multiplayer matches. If you’re tired of Numa Numa, Red Star, Oasis, and other similar maps, then this playlist will show you the other parts of the map lineup.
Vanguard Western Front Game Modes
This playlist contains three game modes, and each of them is listed below.
- Team Deathmatch
- Domination
- Patrol

Sadly, you cannot select your preferred game modes in this playlist like you can in Quick Play. Instead, you’re stuck with these three modes. Most players won’t have an issue with Team Deathmatch or Domination, but some players would rather skip Patrol if given the choice.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
