Wolfenstein: The New Order Guide to Unlocking Enigma Code Bonus Modes

Running around Wolfenstein: The New Order you may have noticed that one of the items that you’ll pick up among the heaps of loot in the game are Enigma Codes.  Collecting these codes allows you to unlock Bonus Modes for Wolfenstein: The New Order.  This is a Wolfenstein: The New Order Guide to Unlocking the Enigma Code Bonus Modes:  999 Mode, Hardcore Mode, Walk in the park Mode, and Ironman Mode.

The Enigma Code pieces are hidden in areas throughout Wolfenstein: The New Order.  The easiest way to find these codes is to unlock the Scout 1 perk, which will indicate where the codes are located within each level.  Each Enigma Code is comprised of 18 individual pieces.

Once you’ve collected all the pieces, you’ll be able to crack the Enigma Code, unlocking new modes for Wolfenstein: The New Order.

To solve the Enigma Codes, head into the extras menu and then into the Enigma Codes section.

Enigma Code #1 Solution

Enigma Code #1 Unlocks 999 Mode, which allows you to play with “999% more action”.  You’ll start with 999 health, unlimited ammo, and UBER difficulty.

Enigma Code #2 Unlocks Walk in the Park Mode.  This disables all HUD elements except for interactive prompts.  You’ll need to rely on your senses to survive on I AM DEATH INCARNATE difficulty.

Enigma Code #3 Unlocks Hardcore Mode.  Hardcore Mode removes all health and armor pickups from the game, and is played on UBER difficulty.

Enigma Code #4 Solution

Enigma Code #4 Unlocks Ironman Mode.  Ironman Mode gives you only one life, game is over if you die.  Played on UBER Difficulty.

You’ll also earn Trophies and Achievements for entering each, alongside the bonus modes.
