Will the Manga Be Adapted?

The Shangri-La Frontier anime has been a hit since its premiere on October 1, 2023. With that in mind, the manga will likely keep being adapted as long as it’s ongoing.

Once the currently announced 2-cours are out, there may be a gap between future seasons to ensure quality. But there is a good chance the rest of the manga will be adapted. However, this is only speculation and can change at any time as we get more official information.

What is Shangri-La Frontier About?

In a world where VR games are the norm, Shangri-La Frontier follows Rakuro Hizutome, a “trash-game hunter” who’s dedicated himself to hunting down and mastering buggy VR games. One day, he decides to try his hand at the popular fully immersive VR RPG, Shangri-La Frontier, or SLF.

Witness Rakuro’s journey as he jumps right in as a bird-man hybrid clad in just a pair of shorts. As he goes through the god-tier game, Rakuro (player name Sunraku) will level up, collect loot, learn new skills, and beat challenging enemies.
