Studio Wildcard has revealed the definitive release date of ARK: Aberration, the new expansion of their online multiplayer hit ARK: Survival Evolved. The package will release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 12, after being originally announced for October. Players who purchase the expansion will get access to a new area filled with new perils and dark corners, but also beautiful landscapes and cute creatures. Aberration includes over 50 items to craft, including wingsuits or ziplines, and environmental threats like eartquakes and gas leakes. Everything comes together to create a tense and dangerous atmosphere, which still leaves space for some beautiful and relaxing moments.
Here is the official description of the expansion: “Waking up on ‘Aberration’, a derelict, malfunctioning ARK with an elaborate underground biome system, survivors face exotic new challenges unlike anything before: extreme radioactive sunlight and environmental hazards, ziplines, wingsuits, climbing gear, cave dwellings, charge-batteries, and far more, along with a stable of extraordinary new creatures await within the mysterious depths. But beware the ‘Nameless’: unrelenting, Element-infused humanoids which have evolved into vicious light-hating monstrosities! On Aberration, survivors will uncover the ultimate secrets of the ARKs, and discover what the future holds in store for those strong and clever enough to survive!”
Aberration will be available as an individual purchase or as part of the season pass. If you still don’t have the base game, you will find it at a special price this weekend on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
