Fans of the Borderlands franchise have been waiting for a new entry in the series for some time now, with the last mainline game having come out in 2014. Though Borderlands 3 has seemed to become something of an elusive myth, fans now have something else to look forward to.

Publisher 2K Games and developer Gearbox Software recently announced Borderlands 2 VR, and virtual reality version of 2012’s ARPG shooter. Though this VR version will largely be a straight port of the PlayStation 4 version of the game found on The Handsome Collection, there will be a few differences as well. The biggest new addition to the game is the BadAss Mega Fun Time (or BAMF Time) mechanic, which will allow players to temporarily slow down time, making it easier to dodge attacks and pull of some crazy stunts of your own. Some playable characters’ abilities will also be enhanced by BAMF Time, such as Zer0’s “Death Mark,” which can not only be utilized in BAMF Time, but will also restore two seconds of BAMF Time for every marked kill made. The VR version of the game will also allow for players to drive vehicles in first-person mode, with the vehicle’s weapon aimed in the direction of the player’s VR headset, so players can drive in one direction while shooting in another.

Borderlands 2 VR is coming to PlayStation VR on December 14.
