When last we spoke with Bandai Namco Entertainment about Dark Souls 3 we were at E3, getting a behind closed doors preview of the upcoming game. The publisher promised big things at Gamescom though, and we now have word about what those plans are.
It seems that the public will get their first chance to go hands-on with Dark Souls 3 in a playable version of the game on the show floor. “As a world premiere players will have the opportunity to get their hands on the next game of one of the most critically-acclaimed RPG series in videogame history. Fight and die with us over and over again!”
Speaking of the cenvention in general, Bandai Namco said “Gamescom is THE event you need to attend if you are a videogame fan or a professional. As always, this is a great opportunity for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe to make sure that we are perfectly aligned with our fans’ expectations and to unveil new details on some of the most-awaited games.”
If you can’t make it to Gamescom, which takes place in Cologne, Germany August 5th – 9th, then you can check out our impressions of the demo we saw at E3, as well as our interview with Mike Chang, Global Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Dark Souls 3 will be released in early 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
