While recent Deus Ex games have definitely demanded a bit more power compared some others on the market, that doesn’t mean that the devs never took a shot at releasing it on weaker platforms. While Deus Ex: Human Revolution launched for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011, the game got a director’s cut on the Wii U the next year that is considered by many as the superior version.
Seeing as that game got a release on the Wii U, there has been some speculation regarding whether or not a similar treatment may be in the works with Mankind Divided and the NX. However, that does not appear to currently be the case.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided producer Olivier Proulx recently spoke with Finder where the prospects of their latest game coming to NX came up, to which he replied with “We’ve never thought about the NX. Right now there’s nothing new to announce there. We’ve just been looking at PC, Xbox One and PS4, and that’s been our focus.”
He goes on to say that the odds of the game coming to the NX also aren’t great going forward, which isn’t a shock considering the hesitation that many developers have with Nintendo hardware after the Wii U’s disappointing sales numbers.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch tomorrow on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out our review by clicking right here and look forward to some guides to make your journey easier once the game launches.
