DriveClub release date likely revealed ahead of, or at E3

Those looking forward to Driveclub on the PlayStation 4 are accustomed to waiting, and it looks like Sony is readying a release date announcement for E3 2014.  A post on the game’s Facebook Page says that an official release date, full game details and new videos will arrive in the weeks to come.

“We know you want news about DRIVECLUB,” reads the address.  “We are going to bring you up to speed with a full ‪#‎DRIVECLUB‬ update soon, because we are immensely proud of how the game is developing and we’re confident you’ll see why when we show you more.  We are also really grateful for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Your comments, tweets and emails are a huge source of motivation for the team and you keep us fired up and working hard to achieve our ambitions for the game.  Expect an official release date, full game details and new videos in the weeks to come. We’ll be here to take questions and to chat to you too, so share a message with us and keep following for more updates. We’re looking forward to showing you more!”

With only six weeks to go until E3 2014, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Sony left these details for their press conference.  Driveclub was on the show floor last year in a fully playable form.  Hopefully a full year of polish leaves a better impression than last year’s demo did.  

Driveclub is expected to release later this year, and we’ll find out exactly when in the coming weeks.
