It was announced several months ago that the “Battle of Jakku” DLC maps will be free for all Star Wars Battlefront. However, it looks like EA is being kinder as more maps will be free in the near future too.
EA posted some interesting information on Star Wars Battlefront over on the official website. Aside from celebrating the release for the game, EA also mentioned what it plans to do in the near future for the game.
EA wrote: “Of course, we are also planning to support Star Wars Battlefront with new content well into the future. We will be adding more of what you love about the game, like new maps and Star Cards, for free in the coming months, in addition to all of the content we have coming with Season Pass. We’ll have more to share soon.”
These new maps are in addition to the aforementioned Battle of Jakku pack coming in December. This comes as good news since Star Wars Battlefront has been criticized by many for its lack of content. The new maps should add some more entertainment value for owners of the game.
The $50 Season Pass is going to add even more content to the game. It will be interesting to see if any The Force Awakens and Prequel content are added.
