The Fallout 4 Mods Beta has begun, with keys going out over the last few days to those who were accepted on Xbox One. If you didn’t get in with the first few waves though, there might be good news this morning, with Bethesda announcing that they are releasing a few more keys to select users. If you opted into the beta then be sure to check your email inbox to see if you got in this time.
Bethesda games have been well known for their mod support, with Skyrim still remaining on the top of the PC sales charts thanks to fans trying out new mods. Fallout 4 seems to be no exception, although it has taken some time for true mod support to hit the RPG title. The big surprise with this entry was that consoles would be able to join in on the fun, with Fallout 4 mods being shared across PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
So far PC players can access the official Fallout 4 mod area, but the Xbox One functionality is only available via this beta program. There is no official word on when they will arrive on PS4, but they will hit there at some point. Most likely they will not receive early access via a beta like those on Xbox One, so PS4 players will just have to wait until the feature is fully ready.
If you’re dying for more Fallout 4 to play though there is the recently released Far Harbor DLC, which we loved in our review. Bethesda also recently announced that Fallout 4 would be receiving more DLC some time this year.
