Fallout 4 was easily one of the standouts of E3 2015, as Bethesda focused a good portion of their conference on the game. One thing we learned here was that not just the PC version would be getting mod support, but also the console versions. Bethesda announced recently that mods would be coming to Xbox One this month and we now know when the closed beta for the mods are starting.
Fallout 4 has had a few different DLC sets come out so far, but the biggest by far is Far Harbor that launches next week. That is obviously Bethesda’s focus right now as they want to get that finished and released first.
After Far Harbor is out though, it sounds like they are ready to get the closed beta for the mods going according to a tweet from the official Bethesda Twitter.
“We’ve hit 1 million Mod downloads already on PC! Console coming soon, closed Beta for #Xbox Mods after #FarHarbor“
This doesn’t specify a date, but with them supposed to come out sometime this month for Xbox One, the beta should be starting almost right after Far Harbor’s release on May 19.
Hopefully Bethesda gives us more details on when the beta is starting and perhaps some details on if there will be anyway to get into this beta when it starts. Regardless, the wait is almost over for mods for Fallout 4 on Xbox One, with PS4 owners said to be getting them next month as well.
