After years of high expectations for its arrival, Sony announced that God of War will be coming to PC in January. But that’s not all, since, according to the game’s Steam page, the PC version of the acclaimed title will feature support for  Nvidia DLSS, ultra-widescreen monitors, and more.

God of War was first released in 2018. The title introduced a whole new level of depth to its protagonist, the Ghost of Sparta, Kratos, all while showcasing a whole new cast of characters and presenting new sceneries to the acclaimed franchise. The game became one of the most acclaimed and awarded titles of the decade.

The PC version of God of War is scheduled to be released on January 14, 2022. The new version of the title is set to feature support for 4K resolution, unlocked framerates, as well as support for Nvidia’s new DLSS (NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology. According to the title’s Steam page, God of War will also feature support for both Dualshock4 and DualSence controllers, as well as for 21:9 ultra-widescreen monitors. The announcement of the arrival of the title on the new platform was made by PlayStation through the release of a new trailer. In God of War, players get to follow Kratos, now years after the fall of the Olympian Gods, as he, now a resident of the land of Midgard, fights to leave his past filled with blood, tragedy, and rage behind and to be a worthy father and mentor to his son while they travel to take on the ashes of his late wife Faye to the highest peak of the Nine Realms.

God of War is only the newest acclaimed Sony exclusive to be released on PCs, after Horizon Zero Dawn came to the platform in August 2020 and Sony announced Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection last month.
