Han Solo Won’t Be Appearing In Star Wars: Rogue One

Even though Star Wars: Rogue One happens around the same time as A New Hope, you won’t be seeing Han Solo in the movie as confirmed by the movie’s director.

Extra caught up with Gareth Edwards and he confirmed: “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do this, but I think I should…. Han Solo’s not in the movie”. They then asked if it was true that Star Wars: Rogue One ends 10 minutes before A New Hope. Edwards said that he’s not allowed to talk about things like that.

Extra then interviewed Kathleen Kennedy who is the President of Lucasfilm. They wanted to know if Hayden Christensen will be appearing in the movie in any capacity. We do know Darth Vader is in the film and Christensen donned the suit before in Episode 3. She said “no, that is not true” in regards to his appearance in the film.

Kennedy also confirmed (much like Edwards) in the same interview that Han Solo is also not in Star Wars: Rogue One. This makes sense since Alden Ehrenreich was only cast as Han Solo fairly recently so he would not have had time to film anything for Rogue One.
