If you’re a Harry Potter fan, then you probably already know about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the upcoming augmented reality mobile game from the developer who created Pokémon GO that was recently announced. Well, it’s a good time to be a fan, because a new game, entitled Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, was just confirmed for release some time next year.
According to Pottermore, the game will be an RPG for mobile devices and is being developed by Jam City, who have developed such games as Avengers Academy, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow and Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff. In Hogwarts Mystery, players will be able to create their own character, who will attend Hogwarts. Throughout the game, you will be able to join clubs and attend classes, during which you will interact with professors you may know from the books or movies.
Chris DeWolfe, Jam City’s CEO and co-founder, states, “As Harry Potter fanatics ourselves, we have great respect for the millions of people throughout the world who have followed the Harry Potter stories for more than 20 years. This game is a labour of love for our developers and artists, who are dedicated to creating the most magical entertainment and game play experience for everyone who adores J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.”
