LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens tops the UK video game charts this week. It has become the 9th LEGO game to top the All Formats Chart in the UK.
LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens had the 4th biggest debut for a LEGO video game. The game falls behind the likes of Indiana Jones, Marvel Super Heroes and Batman according to GFK Chart-Track.
It is also the 4th biggest debut for a Star Wars video game in the UK. Star Wars Battlefront is first followed by The Force Unleashed and Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith.
EURO 2016 is still going and FIFA 16 shot up to second place. Many English gamers must have bought the game to avenge their team’s loss against Iceland. Sales were up by 17 percent which is impressive for a game that’s nearly 10 months old.
Another game that had an increase in sales was Overwatch. The popular shooter was third in the charts with sales up by 9 percent. The top 5 was rounded out by DOOM and then Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness did pretty well for a new release debuting at number 6. The other new releases included The Technomancer at number 13 and the retail version of Minecraft Wii U at number 18.
