LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens continues to dominate the UK video game charts as it is on top for the third straight week.
GFK Chart-Track notes that LEGO Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens is on top yet again with sales dropping just 45 percent compared to the prior week. It has the 2nd longest consecutive winning streak for LEGO since Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was on top for five weeks back in 2012.
A huge sale made sure that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End shot up to the charts at number 2. Sales rose by an astounding 152 percent. The game beat out the week’s highest new release entry which was Monster Hunter Generations. The 3DS exclusive came in third position.
Some other older games saw an increase in sales thanks to many discounts. Grand Theft Auto V sales rose by 91 percent and Fallout 4 saw an increase of 85 percent.
Monster Hunter Generations was the only noteworthy new release as many of the other games on the charts are older titles. It will be a relatively quiet period for console games until No Man’s Sky comes out in early August.
