Back when the Xbox One was first announced, many people frowned on its focus on TV features more than video games. Microsoft is now changing its tune for the better.

Financial Post interviewed Shannon Loftis who is the head of first-party publishing at Microsoft Studios.

Loftis was asked if Microsoft’s efforts for announcing new games for Xbox One is an effort to win back the faith of customers. Loftis  called their core fan base are “gamers” and they’re the type of audience that Microsoft plans to please.

She also said their customers demand new games that that’s what they aim to deliver. She then mentioned that “98 per cent of our emphasis is going to be on the gaming content coming to the Xbox One“.

If you look ahead for the next year and a half, there are a ton of Xbox One video games that will be out in the near future. This year has Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

2016 sounds arguably like an even better year with Quantum Break, Scalebound, ReCore and Gears of War 4 all on the way for the Xbox One as well. Not to mention backwards compatibility will allow people to play many Xbox 360 games too.
