In the run-up to Minecraft Live 2021, a new Glare mob has been unveiled which could potentially be added to the game. The world of Minecraft is one that is yours to mold as you please. However, you are not the only inhabitant of it. There are also mobs, which are mobile entities that can be friendly, fearsome, or neutral. Occasionally, new mobs are added to the game and this is decided by the developers. However, Minecraft Live allows the Minecraft community to vote on which mob gets added. The Glare mob is one of three new mobs that can be voted for during Minecraft Live 2021.
Minecraft Live 2021 is set to take place on the 16th of October at 09:00 AM PDT. The show will feature Minecraft news, interviews, and appearances from notable people in the Minecraft community. Minecraft Live also features Mob Vote, where you can vote for which mob will be next to be added to the game. In 2020, the Mob Vote resulted in the Glow Squid being introduced to the game. This year’s Mob Vote will begin with Minecraft Live 2021, and voting will be available on Twitter.
The Glare is the first of the three potential mobs that have been revealed. This mob is adorable, and you might also find it relatable because it hates darkness. The Glare’s dislike of darkness can be quite helpful for you because it can show you areas dark enough for monsters to spawn. When the Glare starts getting grumpy or throwing a tantrum, you know that you are approaching darkness. The Glare is both cute and useful, which should make it a magnet for votes. However, it has two other mobs to go against. One of them is the Allay which is good at finding more of whatever item you give to it.
The inclusion of a new mob is but one of many improvements that Minecraft has received in 2021. The bulk of the improvements have come through the Caves and Cliffs updates. The update has been split into two parts. The first half, version 1.17, was released on the 8th of June 2021 and it brought new blocks, mobs, and ores. The remainder of the update, version 1.18, is set to release in the latter half of 2021.
Before Minecraft Live 2021 begins on the 16th of October, all three potential new mobs should have been unveiled. The mob with the highest vote will be the lucky one to be included in Minecraft.
Minecraft is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.
