NetherRealm’s Ed Boon Hints More DLC Might Be Coming To Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X initially released last April to much acclaim, which has gotten even better over the last year with the addition of eight new characters. These were done through two separate Kombat Packs and now even more DLC might have just been teased as well.

NetherRealm’s Ed Boon seems to always be popping up when any news about Mortal Kombat comes up, largely due to the fact that he just loves talking about his own projects from the studio. Their latest was just announced ahead of E3 with Injustice 2, which he has been promoting a good bit.

The latest promotion came during the latest PlayStation Blogcast, where Boon discussed a little about the upcoming Injustice 2. However, something he also said in that interview seems to lend credence to the idea that we may have more Mortal Kombat DLC coming.

“We’re very busy, because, Mortal Kombat X, we extended its support even further than all the other games. It’s actually overlapping into our next game, Injustice 2, which I keep trying to tell myself is a good thing, but it makes for a very busy schedule.”

Boon has previously teased on his Twitter about a Kombat Pack 3, so it does make a lot of sense that they would have another in the works based on just how popular the previous ones have been.

If we do get a third Kombat Pack, what characters would you like to see added to the game? There have already been some characters in story mode that haven’t gotten full characters spots, such as Rain, but you’d think they would have to have a few more guest characters as well. Make sure to let us know what you’d like to see in the comments below.
