No Man’s Sky will finally be playable next month, though leading up to that point developer Hello Games will be releasing a series of videos to get everyone up to speed on what the game is all about. The first video in the series is all about exploration, and you can check it out at the bottom of this post.
While we’ve known from the beginning that this game’s world is absolutely massive, this video shows off a nice sample of the different kinds of things you’ll witness. There’s definitely a lot of variety across the game’s supposed 18 quintillion planets, with each of them having their own ecosystems.
The video also emphasizes what the main gameplay elements of No Man’s Sky will be, with exploration, fighting, trading and survival being the main areas of focus. It remains to be seen when the next videos in the series will be released, but be sure to stay tuned for when they do.
